Tips For A Healthy Reopening
What can we do to protect our family, friends, customers, and employees while business and out of home activities begin to return to normal?
There are several steps that the CDC recommends for staying healthy during this risky time. First, wash your hands thoroughly and often. It may look like our hands are clean, but the coronavirus is easily transmittable and even momentary contact with something or someone who is infected can affect your health. We may not get sick, but we can be carriers of the virus, meaning we can unknowingly pass it on to someone else who is more vulnerable. Use hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available. By protecting ourselves we protect the entire community.
Other ways to protect your health include wearing a mask over your nose and mouth when in public. Wearing a mask respectfully helps to protect the more at-risk people around us, and is a good deterrent to not touching your face. Sanitize any items you bring into your home. And while you are out or at work, contribute to social distancing measures by keeping six feet between yourself and other people. Watch the groups around you and adjust your position if necessary to maintain safer spaces. These simple actions can make a large difference in stopping the spread of the coronavirus, and are an easy way to support your friends and neighbors while taking care of yourself.
